Hi everyone
So I came to Canada in September 2015 and was supposed to graduate in April 2017 but i still had to complete 3 courses by the end of April, 2017.
So I took 3 courses in Summer 2017, had to drop 2 again. Did not have enough money to complete both courses so took one course in Fall 2017 and taking 1 now.
I recently came to know that this will be a problem for me when I try getting my PGWP.
I remained full time from 2015 to 2017 and can possibly change my status to full time student for this, that is my last semester. Do I have a chance? maybe if I apply with just my graduation certificate and not my transcript?
I do not want to take another program for a year again.
Is there any way I can get my PGWP. Any way out of this situation? or any good immigration lawyer I can consult?

One of the requirements for the PGWP is that you complete your program as a full time student. Having said that, it's fine to be part time for one semester.

Since you've been part time for more than one semester, your PGWP is pretty much guaranteed to be refused. An immigration lawyer can't fix or change this, you unfortunately do not meet the PGWP requirements. Having said that, the decision is ultimately up to the CIC officer who processes your application. If you can take a full course load this term, I would try that.

Hopefully you weren't working while attending school part time. That will complicate things further.

No I was not working.
But I just required 3 courses to complete my program credits. Even now i just need one course to complete my program. Why and how could I have studies full time. And I don't think I can pick three courses because i don't require any
What if my college changes my last semester to full time? Would that help me?

If you want full time status - you need to take additional courses to make sure you have a full time course load (even if you don't need these courses).

The college isn't going to lie / falsify their records and change your status to full time when you're not. And typically this is an automated indicator tied to how many courses you're taking. Short answer - the only way to get yourself up to full time status is to take more courses.

If I take more courses this semester and change my status to full time.
Considering my history. How strong are my chances of getting a PGWP.

If you have more that one part time semester, your chances of a PGWP being approved are low. PGWP rules only allow you to be part time for one semester.

You might as well try applying for the PGWP and see what happens. I would also definitely take a full course load this semester.

If the PGWP is refused, then you'll either need to find an employer willing to go through the LMIA process so that you can work in Canada - or you'll need to get a new study permit and complete another program that's at least 8 months long to qualify for a PGWP.

Can I apply with just a letter from college saying I graduated or I need to attach my transcripts too?

If they give you an official letter (letterheaded) stating the dates you studied and that you have graduated successfully that will do. Just tell them what it is for. They should know the format

Generally PGWP are refused if you only include a completion letter but no transcript. Generally speaking CIC expect you to provide both.

So my college can change my status to full time this semester without me taking additional courses
Does that help me a little?

My program was 2 years but I will finish it in 3

Will that make cic look deeper into my file/case
