Marriage certificate request

Hi,
My wife had applied for a TRV from India. She recently got a mail from CIC asking for an additional document (marriage certificate). As far as I remember we had submitted the said document along with her application. The certificate is issued by the Thane court marriage authorities. Does this mean that the certificate isn’t recognized by CIC. If so, how do we move forward. Please help.

Just to be sure that we are on the same page:
1. There is no "court marriage". It is a "registered marriage" solemnized by the Registrar of Marriages.

2. I'm assuming you married as per the 'Special Marriage Act'? If yes, did you give a 30-days notice? If yes to this as well, you can submit a copy of the notice published.... to IRCC

3. Was your marriage certificate issued by a legally-recognized Registrar of Marriages? Or were you married in a religious ceremony?

Yes the marriage was solemnized by Registrar of marriages. It doesn't come under Special Marriage Act as we both are of the same religion. Even then we did give a 30 days notice. And yes, the certificate was issued by a legally recognised registrar.

You have been married as per the Special Marriage Act even though both of you are of the same religion.

The 30-days notice is a necessity for the Special Marriage Act, whereas if you had married in a religious ceremony, you would not have to do so. Anyways.

You must upload the notice which was published by the Office of the Registrar of Marriages + a notarized copy of the marriage certificate + any photographs (taken with the Registrar of Marriages + the witnesses). You must upload these documents through your MyCIC account

Hi, i am wondering if need marriage certificate for 14 years old marriage? Marriage was solemnized accodance with hindu rituals hence it was not registered, they have a 12 year old daughter. Is it mandatory for TRV?
