Foreigner China PCC - Dates Problem ? URGENT

Hi All,

Can anyone help with below problem...

I first time landed in China, in Shanghai, stayed there for tow days then moved to beijing.... then came back to shanghai.. and shifted few times between two cities... on work permit...
so now I have PCCs as below

Beijing - Oct 10, 2005 to Jul 20, 2010 (based on first entry last exit)
Shanghai - Oct 09, 2005 to Jul 8, 2008 (based on first entry last exit)

the above pcc's cover my entire stay in two cities.... but they are not broken as per actual stay...

Will CIC accept above PCCs.. ? I have already submitted my application... or they may reject completely ?

Kindly suggest what to do ?

This should not be a problem since you have PCC for both cities for the entire duration of your stay in China.

Thanks for your reply...... I have submitted my application with the same hope... Actually their wording is during his residence in CITY, China FROM date TO date.

which is what confusing me.... do you have any more thoughts on this ?

Any one faced similar situation before ????

I am certain this should not be a problem. If they do raise an ADR regarding this, you can add an LOE explaining your situation and both the cities provided you PCC for the entire period. All CIC cares is that you have PCC for the period you were in the country. Some countries do not even mention city or duration of stay.

Hi,

Shanghai has different system compared to Beijing in getting PCC.

• In Beijing, the PCC is issued by Beijing Public Security Bureau (PSB).
• In Shanghai, the PSB will redirect you to Shanghai Oriental Notary Public Office.

According to the notary in that office, they can only issue the notarial certificate of no criminal record to cover your time spent in Shanghai, due to they have no jurisdiction for your time in Beijing.

So you need 1 PCC from Beijing, and 1 PCC from Shanghai.

Chinapoliceclearance.com is able to get PCC from both cities without asking you to return China.

If any one claimed 1 PCC from Shanghai can also cover your time in Beijing, think it over, and call Shanghai Oriental Notary Public Office to get the official answer directly.
