Suppossing i have a TRV, and then i find an employer.
1. How many months must i have stayed in canada before i can apply for status change?
2. How much is the cost?
3. How long does it take for them to make a decision and communicate to me.

1. Your length of stay will be determine by CBSA officers at the airport. Finding a job as a visitor will be difficult and can more than a couple months.

2. Your future employer must first apply for a LMIA. This will cost them $1000 processing fee and 1 to 6 months processing time with a high refusal rate. Which is why most employers doesn't want to go through this process.

3. If your employer does obtain a approved LMIA, you can apply for work permit online or flagpole at any US/CA border.

1. There no minimum.
2. Around $150 for you. For your employer, $1,000 in fees and likely several hundred dollars more for advertising.
3. 4-6 months for an LMIA (which your employer has to obtain) and then another month or more for your work permit (which you apply for). So I would count on at least six months - but possibly substantially longer.

Also note that it's typically next to impossible to find an employer willing to go through the LMIA process. Without an approved LMIA, you cannot apply for a work permit.
