very fast processing

Probably those Sponsors (refused files) visited India before getting Sponsor Approvals. And also I read some replies to your post saying its okay to travel, if your job is not affected or if you have a return ticket. But how come those NDVO ppl know whether we have a return ticket or we are still employed ?
I don't know about traveling before SA, I have SA.
And yes I am also confused about the return ticket too

One of the requirement for PR to sponsor a family member is to reside in Canada
  • you can’t sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident living outside Canada
While there is not really a restriction for PR to travel aboard, but if you stay too long aboard (Unfortunately there isn't a definition for how long is too long), you will risk your application, if CBSA deems that you are living outside Canada. And that is why seniors recommended to PR sponsor stay in Canada through the whole process. While there are people successfully traveled and didn't get any trouble, there is no guarantee that you can do that too. It is all your responsibility.

The key word here is sponsor, it could mean file sponsorship application, which we all understand, but it also can mean the sponsorship process, where the risk is at.

background went into processing on december 13?

No AOR 2 was December 13
I just recently linked my application to online on November 14 and when I opened it, the background was already on processing. This is why I am confused because some people's background says NA and mine says in process while the other steps before are not accepted. Anyways I didnt see any change on my online account since November 14
