they want to get 5% of all immigrants to be French speakers.
But:
1. that includes all types off immigration
2. they do not need to have it as a first language
3. In the whole EE, there is only 3-4% of French speakers.
So at the end of the day it will come down to how busy your LVO is and what are their internal targets when it comes to immigration groups

anyway, did anybody received NOI for the French speaking stream?

vensak: do you have any methods or tips to improve my writing (as I am giving TEF another shot soon), I've got (B2) in writing so I'm not that far away from CLB 7, the issue is that TEF is not like IELTS where you can find tons of free and paid ressources online, for TEF there is only a mere of 2 outdated books or so in the whole Internet ...

Try to check preparations for DELF and DALF.
When writing do not go into too difficult sentences. Keep essential use, what you know to use properly and let it flow. Passive reading shall help you there.

I cant agree more... but what i dont understand, if a province like ontario sets a targer for people it wants to bring (5pct also for french speaking in our case) and sets a deadline for that (2020 i think) but then remains on the sideline when it comes to actually granting them residency, then the whole objective is useless... i wonder what impact ontario has on ircc behind the scenes to actually enforce or promote this target ??

Hello - a quick one- if francophone immigration is a national priority, shouldnt it be quicker and more slick... i think due to the very small number of french speaking aplicants in this forum we cant really assert if we are granted any preferencial treatment time wise?
good question

Hi Vensak, and you guys and girls
I settled in Toronto, got a survival job. I am expecting a real job in my field very soon. Found a (very) little place. But I feel lucky and happy. I love Toronto, and Canada has been good to me so far.

If you meet the conditions you will receive Notification of interest. That gives you right to send your application to Ontario If your file is OK and you pass their assessment process, then Ontario will send you Nomination.
French stream experience is that everybody who has fullfilled requirements did get NOI. There is no specific time or date when they will send out NOI (Work days Office hours)
Yes, they have quotas for each stream including French one. We do not know exact quota for it, but they claim, that they want to have 5% of all PNP to be French speakers. (so there could be estimation of around 250 to 275 French stream applicants per year).
We are very small stream compared to others and there are much less applicants that meet the criteria. That is the reason, why this stream is still opened (unlike Human priorities).
There are so many people speaking French worldwide, especially in Africa, I wonder if the quota is sufficient for all french speaking stream applicants

Of course it will not be enough. So as with all other PNP streams, those who are fast will get it, those who are not will not.

Hello Guys,
I need your help, regarding:

7.3 Work Contracts (mandatory)
7.4 Proof of Compensation (mandatory)

In the section: APPENDIX 5: FRENCH-SPEAKING SKILLED WORKER STREAM DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
They ask for: Copies of work contracts and Proof of compensation from ALL employers for all periods of work...

I have 10 years of experience and its impossible to contact my old employers, I mean the first 4 years of my career.
What if I only provide the 6 last years? In the same time, should I mention all my work experience because I have to declare all my personal and professional history in the last 10 years?

Did someone of you guys encountered this case?

Thanks,

Please, Has anyone submitted his status in 2018 and the status already changed to "assessment" ? Please kindly reply, thanks!

The TEF manual used to say that it's -1 for incorrect answer. I was pleasantly surprised when I went for the test in March and they said that from now on it's 0 for incorrect answer - meaning no point deduction.

I registered in Jan and the exams were scheduled for last week of March. I spent at least 1 hour per day (during my lunch time :( ) for preparation.

Just check when is the next exam scheduled at your place. And use the time for revision. They have less sessions than IELTS. At least it's like this here - 3 sessions per year

PM me your email id and I'll send you all the materials I have. Good luck!
