does ecas update when test invite is sent to us? or does it just remain In Process? The reason I'm asking is I just noticed my mailing address at ECAS was shown as my old address and I had to fix it very recently.

If you click In Process you'll see notes. They'll add a line saying they sent you a test invite. Then you'll either receive the invite by post or email. I received mine by post. It seems to depend on the particular office.

Received FP request today, Jan 22nd (Sent Jan 17th). How concerned should I be about this issue?

I don't have a common name so I don't know what the issue is. I have nexus and a government security clearance...

I booked fingerprints tomorrow evening. Hoping the results get to CIC and are settled with them prior to my Citizenship test early February.

No my friend for the interview and test , only PR card, CORP letter , passport original , and invitation letter for the test also look in the second letter says to bring photocopy of all pages of you’re passport
If you have FP made not to long ago bring the paper to notify CIC that is already made
