Here is the thing. When they ask for PCC, it should be:
a - less then 6 months old
or
b - if older than that it would have to be issued after you left that country.
So you can:
a - ask on embassy of that country once you leave it
b - ask your friends in that country to help you
c - return to that country to get that PCC done.

As I doubt that you will get through everything in less than 6 months.

I think you are indeed confused. You are going to be processed for the PR before getting in Canada. The whole application is for your PR as a refugee. I have a family member in Turkey who is going through the same. Their application status shows as "Decision Made". He did the interview with the embassy and now awaiting final confirmation and flight information. They have been in Turkey for 3 years and nobody asked for any criminal check. The Canadian embassy and Immigration works with the agencies in Turkey plus RCMP in Canada to gather enough information about the person and make sure the person is admissible to Canada.

So, you do not need anything for your PR. Actually, I am confused now. What is your current status? Did you submit your application to Canada immigration? Are you sponsored? Is it processed? Whatever happens overseas is to get you and your family as PR.

By the way, you can message me if you'd like to talk in عربي :)

Hi topic is about citizenship not about PR. So he seems to be thinking already ahead. I merely stated standard conditions for PCC if it is required.

Then it seemed that the process is different than other regular streams.
Also, I am not OP, and the part that I was confused is the same as yours about what exactly the OP status is and what kind of VISA he is waiting for, and etc.
Anyway, wish him the best.
Also, if he is not sure about it, and if it is easy to get the PCC that will ease him mind, why not?It won't hurt his case, isn't it?
