About a week ago I raised a CSE since my application has exceeded normal processing times as per informed on IRCC website and last night I received the following reply:

"Good day,

If your enquiry has yet to be answered via other channels such as our phone agents, paid representatives, community centres, etc., please write back to us using the IRCC Web form.

As you can see they haven't answered me anything.
Do they send this standard message before the actual reply or this is the actual response to my CSE?

I received the PPR email from Sao Paulo Visa Office in Brazil.

My application was in IP2 since medicals passed, around mid august.

I haven't had any updates on my system in a bit over 4 months now. I contacted cic after i passed the 6 months mark, they sent me the vague reply and they still haven't sent my GCMS notes. Any idea what's happening or what i can do?

Apparently GCMS are taking a bit longer to arrive still because of the holidays, however it should be the only way to know for sure what's going on with your application.

In my case, as soon as my application exceeded normal processing times, I raised a CSE and sent an email to CPC Ottawa. My few previous emails used to be answered in a couple hours, however, in this case they didn't respond. After a week, I received a really vague email in response of my CSE, so I raised a new one. After two hours I got the PPR.

That was only my experience, and my requested GCMS notes were not sent yet, so I can't see where my application got stuck for now.

I'm an outland applicant so calling CIC was not an option. Maybe, if you're inland you should try calling and use the contact tools such as email and CSE to be informed on where your application is sitting on.

I wish you get you PPR soon.

I'm outland as well. I find it funny that cpc ottawa tells you to only contact them after 6 months have passed and when you do they're useless. I guess i'll wait a bit more.

It's odd that many applicants have completely different experiences when contacting agents, specially the ones that could call them (not my case).
In my case, despite the process had taken more than 6 months for PPR, contacting the agents was mostly useful.

Hello July 2017 applicants! Well, this thread was once so active; of course, July applications have mostly received their PR so far and are now celebrating. I am a CEC applicant, 185 days passed, and as an Iranian I know that I have to wait at least for another 120 days. I’ll make sure to keep here alive if not turned into fossil!

I'm in the same boat man with same nationality. Submitted on 4th of July. I hope we'll get it soon...

I hope we get it as soon as possible. There is a petition that people are signing to ask Canadian government to make the process faster, have you signed it?

How likely is that at this stage of being past the six months one gets rejected for a silly reason? We can see some refusals in trackers after say 250 days because of only a missing document. In my case for example, I sometimes so much worry about getting refused because of not having the Educational Credential Assessment for my spouse, even though zero points were actually given to the education of my spouse at the time of ITA (I answered NO to the question about ECA for spouse). The system did ask though for images of my spouse’s diplomas, which I provided together with translation. But no ECA.
