Hi,

I am FSW inland living in the GTA area and want to do the landing process this weekend. Any recent experience about landing in Niagara area? (Peace Bridge, Rainbow Bridge, Lewiston-Queenston Bridge) or is it better to travel further? ( to thousand island bridge, Blue Water Bridge, Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, Ambassador Bridge). any advice regarding the above options for this weekend?

Thank you very much

Better avoid the bridges near Niagara (Queenston, rainbow bridge and peace bridge). You may or may not be allowed to land based on the rush.

It is better to travel further.

I believe next border crossing outside of Niagara Falls is at Thousand Island near Kingston.

Or just book an appointment in IRCC office. Save the trip.

Are you bringing your car? Then did you follow the process?
Car export is only allowed in Lewiston bridge.

Is car export allowed on Windsor Tunnel or Ambassador Bridge. I will be driving from USA in February late. Also, are there operational hours for completing landing in Canada? I heard Rainbow bridge only accepts a certain number of immigrant landings.
Thanks!

WIth CAR and without CAR is different.
Export Import takes place only during specified hours.
If not exporting car, landing can be done 24/7 - From USA.

I am bringing (exporting/importing) my car from USA. That seems like more reasonable thing to do; don't want the hassle of buying a car in Canada.

Then you need to call the border to see their timings.. Export can be done only b/w 8 and 4.

It appears that export/import is a 24/7 operation at both US and Canada border agencies on Blue Water Bridge. Called both agencies to confirm; agent from US sounded as if he was suffering from lack of patience and struggled to hide is discontent at answering simple questions. Agent on Canadian side was more monotonic.

Please reply if anyone else has recently crossed border into Canada while bringing their car and found the hours to be not 24/7. Somehow, I feel that I shouldn't solely depend on information provided to me on the phone by USCBP.

Thanks!

As per my conversation today with both US and Canada border agencies, export and import of vehicle is in operation 24/7 on Blue Water Bridge.
