We got an email today for passport request! Decision made on ECAS and background check is being progressed with I log into the online account. It doesn't say a decision has been made yet on our online account. We plan to mail in the required documents (pictures, passport copy, form, & prepaid envelope) tomorrow.

what is SA?
Sponsorship Approval. It's when the sponsor gets a letter/email stating that they have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor.

thats what I thought too, saw several posts where people got them and got PPR within a week after. But can't find any difinitive guidlines for this.
Nope, pre arrival services just means eligibility is passed. Not necessarily background check done. Take my case as proof of it.

My husband got Pre-Arrival letter on 13th Nov. We too thought that might b we are just two weeks away from PPR, but there’s no update after that. They didn’t even start the Background check yet. So you really can’t predict anything out of it until you get DM or PPR.. All the best!

hI!
can anyone tell me if there is any TIME PERIOD for landing after getting the COPR -
(Confirmation of Permanent Residence letter given to you with your stamped passport which will allow you to land as a Permanent resident (PR))
