I have received a similar mail from NDVO. The mail is very demotivating but since it is a computer generated mail and the same has been sent to many people, i hope that the timelines mentioned are not actual. BTW did u request for information from ndvo before?
Do you know if anyone as got dm and ppr before the timelines mentioned in the email similar to this one?

GM ,

I just saw on my ecas it says Decision made.Yesterday it changed to Background in process...

Question , the next step I guess would be the PPR email right ? some time this week? Any thoughts ??

Hello Everyone,
I am new here. I have first question for all you guys
From where I can apply my spouse application from Canada or from India ?
Right now , I am living in india and going back to canada on 5th of Feb.
You are going to prepare all application while you are in India with your spouse, carry it with you to Canada and send it to Mississauga.

May 19th Applicant. Still my additional docs status in GCkey showing "being reviewed". Most of the people whom I talked to said their additional docs status changed to "additional docs not required". Any May applicants with same situation ?
I am May 1st applicant my document status is also in "being reviewed" state. I got my AOR2 on 5th July.

Submitted passport to VFS today morning. It is in transit to NDVO. VFS ppl said it will take 7-10 days. Hope and pray to have my spouse in Canada before this month end! Highly ambitious, I know! But we missed all our 1st year occasions including our anniversary :( I wish the best for everyone here! Hope to hear great news from you all!!

Hi All

Glad to hear and congratulations to all the applicants for receiving their PPR.

My wife is April 7 applicant, AOR 2 - Aug 1

Background Check has not yet started. It's been more than 9 months now

I spoke to My Representative and he suggested to wait.

Please advise.

what does your background check status say on GC key

guys
what does in process on pa side in ecas means?
is it aor-2?

it's not an AOR2 but could be taken as AOR2- AOR2 comes in the form of an EMAIL to PA (can check your junk email if you have not received it yet); however once you see IN Process in ecas it could be taken as an AOR2 as you could be rest assured that the file is in your local VO- which is NDVO in our case here.

Hi, in my case the PA's status in ECAS just changed to in process (either late yesterday or today). However, I (sponsor) have not received the email yet that the file was transferred to New Delhi yet. I assume this means that I will get is soon or it's been transferred and I didn't get the email. Has anyone had the file transferred and the sponsor not gotten the transfer email?

NDVO response to my email on application status

Thank you for choosing Canada! We know this is a very exciting time in planning an important change in your life.

We have received your application for permanent residence. We expect to begin working on your application within the next two months. We will need time to review and assess your file. We should be ready to communicate with you again by May or June 2018. We understand that the waiting period can be difficult but please rest assured that we have not forgotten about you.

We appreciate the time you have taken to prepare your application.

The usual pattern is that the sponsor gets an email usually about a week before the PA's status changes to "In Process" on Ecas. The "In Process" status on ECAS and PA receiving an AOR2 email happens pretty much on the same day. Maybe check your junk email as that is where it went for us!

Hello Guys, I got an email from NDVO and they stated following, did anyone else also received the same email and why they are taking this long. My file was submitted on July 13th 2017 and then transferred to NDVO on October 17, 2017 and they started processing. I have submitted all the documents as requested. Medical also passed. Its been like 3 month my file is at NDVO and then they send this email, its so frustrating.
Any advise or suggestion?
