Hi,
I am an international student currently located in Ontario.
I came to Canada to do my masters but unfortunately I was withdrawn from the program due to lack of satisfactory academic performance.
My study permit will expire in 2 years.
I'm wondering what are the roles for this kind of situation. Can I stay in Canada or should I leave immediately?
I'm planing to apply for a PR (Express entry). Is there something I can do during my stay here while my status is student but I'm not a student anymore? I'm here with my spouse (He has an open work permit), we like Canada and we don't want to leave yet. Can someone let me know what are my options?

Thanks,
Dana

You can remain in Canada but need to stop working immediately (if you are working).

You will need to apply to change your status to visitor if you want to remain in Canada. Don't wait too long - your study permit will be automatically canceled once you've been out of school for more than 90 days.

@scylla please send me ur email, I want to send yhu my SOP & other written documents so yhu can act as the VO's eyes

I'm not an immigration consultant or lawyer and don't offer private advice (I also only share my email address with people I know personally for privacy reasons). If you post your questions to the forum, I will do my best to answer them here. Others here are probably better positioned to review your SOP - I've never written one myself.
