Hi
I sent my application on Nov 6th.Application received Nov 16th.Yet no record found.I called in mid december than late December and 2nd week of January 2018 but they say that application may not have been opened yet.I gave my payment receipt# and they said payment is received but not assigned to an application.Any one else there with the same issue????.I sent application as single individual

there are several people in the same situation. I'm from Oct 16th and no AOR yet. You can see in the tracker how many people are still waiting for AOR.

Also, in the november and october thread there has been many discussion on this topic - delayed AOR. You might be aware the CIC received 6-8 times the application in october(post c6) than any other previous months. Hence it has affected their timeline. Having said that we have seen many Oct and Nov applicants receiving AORs these days.

Until you receive AOR, the CIC call center will not have access to your record as it is not entered into their system yet. And calling them will not provide you any insight - I certainly would boast your stress levels. If they had found anything wrong such as missing signature or photo not stamped etc they would have returned your application by now.

If your application has not returned and you have not received AOR it is advisable to just wait. There are quite a few of us in this category.

In summary, 10% of Oct applicants are waiting for AOR and 50% of the Nov applicants are waiting for AOR.

It's exceedingly frustrating waiting for AOR, and there are thousands of folks anxiously awaiting their AOR emails. I feel so sorry for those October applicants who've heard nothing at all back, as they're fraught with fear that something's not right. The only thing one can possibly do proactively-wise as an ordinary (i.e., as a lawyerless & officially non-urgent) applicant is to telephone CIC/IRCC on their 1-888 number and follow the "4" & "0" options in order to be able to speak to a representative and then to politely ask her/him if s/he'll just double-check with you over the phone that CIC/IRCC has your contact details accurate in their system, just in case they've been trying to reach you via old phone numbers or e-mail addresses or physical mailing address. When I phoned them to double-check these things, I had to correct some of my contact details in their system over the phone with the agent as they had stuff in there from years ago, pre-PR.
