Be aware of the following.

Jan 13, 2018
72,4 % of people in North America use Google Chrome as a internet browser
12.3 % of people in North America use Mozilla as a internet browser
3,3 % of people in North America use Safari as a internet browser
3.9% of people in North America use Microsoft Internet Explorer as a internet browser

Not using microsoft internet explorer to access document may cause unpredictable results

When using Google Chrome, on the immigration website when you click "GET CHECK LIST" (form) you get the following screen display and stays there forever.

Please wait...

If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.

You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download.

For more assistance with Adobe Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/go/acrreader. Windows is either a registered trademark or a trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries. Mac is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the United States and other countries. Linux is the registered trademark of Linus Torvalds in the U.S. and other countries.

A Person being unknowledgeable about computers, you do not realize that the display is Adobe Reader and there is an option to download. You just wait and wait and wait for the document to be displayed which never does. Even for me being in the business for 40 years, I got confused why it was not displayed even though I had done on older versions of the document.

When using Microsoft Internet Explorer on the immigration website when you click "GET CHECKLIST" (form)
The form is displayed. No issues there. It works like it is suppose to.

I resolved my problem by loading the Microsoft Internet Explorer on my computer. I have access now. I do not believe by loading another app of pdf is a proper solution. Thanks anyway

Opening the forms in Adobe Reader actually is the correct solution. You should not be working in the forms in your web browser at all. You should be saving them to your computer and opening in Adobe Reader. So this is not a problem that IRCC is likely to fix since the forms are not intended to be filled out or validated in the web browser at all.

The only way to access updated application immigration documents is to use Microsoft Internet Explorer. It does not matter if you have the latest version of Adobe Reader.
This is not correct.

Just download the file, and open them in Adobe Reader, Foxit, or another PDF viewer.

As others have said, the browser is simply to preview the form, NOT to fill it in. Yes, some browsers allow you to preview the form and others don't, but the bottomline is no matter what browser you use, you should be downloading the form to your computer and opening and filling in with Adobe Reader. Thus, the browser one uses is irrelevant.

Yes you can. I did it. Even though it doesn't not display on your screen in your web browser, you can still save the file to your computer and it opens just fine with Adobe Reader. Depending what system you are using, this would be right clicking and searching for 'save as'. or for me on a Mac I hover over the document and it comes up with a save option at the bottom of the screen. Once you save the file to your computers hard drive, and open in with Adobe Reader on your computer (NOT on the internet), the file does open. This is a very common issue and has been discussed at length on this forum.

The point is that it is not a problem with Adobe Reader. Adobe reader will not work if you are using the Google Chrome browser. The problem is using other browers other than Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Try it with Google and you will see ...form IMM 5533 10-2017 (Checklist). All you get is a screen that says WAIT......etc.etc.
You are wrong.

As I said: Download the file, and open it in Adobe reader.

I have no microsoft browser on my computer (use Chrome and Firefox). The form is fine. It works. I have tested this in the last 4 minutes, highlighting the IMM5533 you wrote in, searching for that file, downloading it, and opening it.

There is nothing wrong with the forms.

Well did I ever learn something. When I tried to access the document using Google Chrome, I got a screen from Adobe Reader that said ...WAIT.....etc....with a bunch of wording and it just stayed on that screen forever. Then I realized I still had the download option while that screen was being displayed. I selected download and gave a file save name. I closed accessing the document and then I opened the saved file and VOILA!!...The document was there. I was not able to view the document while trying to access it.

Which begs me to question,
why am I able to view the document using Internet Explorer without having to save the file but I cannot do so with Google Chrome. They both use the same Adobe Reader..
Not being able to view the document without downloading is kinda misleading. Almost telling me its not available to download.. I was trying to get an update version of a document. I already had my complete family class application which I got months ago and using the fill in. I was also able to save the filled in document. Seems like to updated documents no longer allow viewing the documents even if the document has been saved or not.

Sheesh what a waste of time

The OP has confused left-clicking the link as "downloading".

Left-clicking allows one to preview in the browser
Right-clicking on the web link and choosing "save as" allows one to download.
