No update on work visa application from 4 months

Hi All,

I have applied for Canada work permit from India on 8th sep via online application. Next day I got confirmation that they got the application and begin the processing. From that day to till now I didn't get a single update from them not even the medical request. Please help me that what can I do further to find out the issue.

Meds nov 17, submitted

Hi all, do you guys have anyone in Canada? Your friend or spouse or a relative? If yes, ask them to get in touch with their LOCAL MP office and ask for help. They will ask for a letter of authorization from you guys at the most and LOCAL MP offices in Canada do have their subordinates to look into the files which have exceeded the normal processing times. Once you provide them the letter of authorization, you ll hear from them within 2 weeks.

Thanks for the advise but my lawyer applied my work permit.

Really going mad about the process.

Its been 5 months ready.

Submit a case specific inquiry from CIC website for your country office and ask someone in Canada to check with their LOCAL MP office.

15Jan 2018 Final decision Approved

If you have the UNID and application number, yes you can.

Ask your lawyer to share the details with you. He might not be willing to. Generally they do charge extra for just filling up the Case Specific INquiry form also. So your lawyer might be hesitant to share the details with you. If he does not share, ask him to file a request. No other option.
Also ask him to get in touch with LOCAL MP Office on your behalf. If he refuses. Ask for details and do it yourself.

Their turn around time is 28 days for applications outside canada, if that dint work. Only hope to get it processed any sooner, have someone contact the LOCAL MP office in Canada.
