statutory questions clarification

Hi there,

I just received ITA this week. under the statutory questions, there is "Has xxx ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?".

I am not sure if I should say Yes or No to such question for my own situation... Can someone please help?

My situation listed below:

- I did a flagpole at US border to get my post graduate work visa in 2016.
- Back in 2012, we were on a road trip and my friend drove the wrong lane and entered states border unintentionally at Kingston, I did not have my passport on me nor have a US visa. We were pulled into the office and got fingerprint logged at the border and then sent back to Canada.

Since I do not want to lie to the IRCC, If I say YES to this question, will this affect my application's decision?

You may say 'Yes' and explain both incidents. Visa refusals usually have no impact on the PR applications. Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply. However, I do not have a visa refusal at all. In 2013, when I applied US visa, I did mention that incident to the VISA officer at the time of applying, and he said nothing and gave me the visa no problem.
