Hi guys,
Really confused hoping somone can help me. Currently try to asses my score for express entry (already living in Canada on IEC).
I have an Australian trade certificate after completing a 4 year apprenticeship. Certificate III in engineering - heavy steel Fabrication.
(Noc 7235). From all the research iv done i cant find anywhere to get an ECA for this. Cic says to be eligible for FSWP you have to get an ECA. So bassically they're saying all NOC B jobs are invalid because we require you to get an ECA no company provides.

If you get a certificate of qualification you can try the Federal Skilled Trades program.

It doesn't have to match your Canadian work experience, as long as it meets the other requirements it will be sufficient.

The ECA is required for FSW - you can get the ECA done on a high school diploma.

You will get 50 points for the Australian trade certificate.

The ECA is NOT required for CEC or the FST program. For the CEC, you will need to complete 1 year of work experience in Canada. For the FST, you would need 2 years of post-apprenticeship work experience in the trade, PLUS (a) a job offer in Canada, OR (b) a Canadian certification/credential (e.g. get the Red Seal from your province).

Understand that they distinguish between "education" (degrees, diplomas) and trades apprenticeship as 2 different paths to skills development.

I do have a job offer. For noc 7235. Which i am qualified in Australia for and have been since 2008. But my red seal certificate is for welding, if you understanding the trades they kind of go hand in hand. But they have 2 differnt NOC's.

Also. My IEC runs out on April 2nd. Is there enough time left to be nominated for BCpnp and Skilled Trade entry
