Hi

I have a question on the type of proof I can submit, my bank account does not have any money as I do not leave it there instead I place them deposit certificates (I have more than required) my bank can only issue a statement showing the amount of money i have in those certificates but not in the 3 or 6 months statement.

Would this be accepted? noting what is required like bank logo and stamps, etc.. are there.

Also if this is valid, how long does this document last because it takes 24 hours to be issued

others deposit certificates are fine as long as you can prove that you enough money. All money need to be there at least for 3 months at the time of submitting application (From 5 march it would be minimum 6 months). Your statement can be a recent one (no need to be same date of application) and they will ask you for updated one in case it takes long time to nominate you.

Try to have official stamp or letter head when you get the letter.

great to hear about this. money been there for alot longer than 3 months. issue is that the bank letter does not show when the certificate deposits started, it say aggregated statement balance and today's date ( all stamped and official) , issue again is its not a statment showing a few months

term deposits or FDs have a starting and maturing date normally. Normal bank account have transaction summary over few months showing minimum balance was maintained. Is yours term deposit? Does letter show type of deposit or lock-in period? In Egypt, I am not sure how it works. May ask colleagues in your country?

Yes it's term deposit, statement showing the duration as in 18 months and the amount. This is in Egypt. That's how this bank shows the fixed deposit statement as aggregated, normal statement is fine and can go back a year even if I want but it does not show the fixed deposits in it, however it shows there are payouts into this account from the deposits

I feel should be fine. Are you able to obtain a letter from bank stating that you have full access to fund anytime if you want? can search this forum for template.

From 5 March, 2018, the amount of settlement funds required will be revised to align with IRCC's requirements.
Means amount is approx. same, but the holding period is 6 months, in place of 3 months. (This is very confusing). Better you confirm it directly through email to immigration@gov.sk.ca
