PCC info?

hi All,
I got ITA for Canada today.
I live in US since last 2 yrs but I have indian Passport.
I wish to know whether I need India PCC or US and also the process to obtain them.

so I have one more doubt :
If you live outside of India:
You can apply at your nearest Indian embassy or consulate.

- I already have this from New York consulate.
Will this suffice?

If you have not been back to India since you got the PCC, then yes, you can use it. Good luck!

The website says print the application form,attach moneyy order and fingerprint card.
Can I use any fingerprinting agency to get this card ?
The police dept here told me that get the finger print card and we will sign it?
I did not understand this quite well.
