We have received ITA and completed the application by submitting all requested document in Sep 17. Recently my wife (main applicant) find out that she is pregnant, this is after the required medical examination was carried out as she wasn't aware of the pregnancy at the time, and the child is expected to be born around Aug 18. In this case, should we inform the CIC? Would this count toward a change in personal circumstance? I was trying to research for relevant information on CIC website but the closest I find is the statement below:

"You want to report important changes about your application, such as:
  • births
  • deaths
  • marriages
  • divorces
  • adoptions
  • changes in address
  • changes in employment
  • a new educational credential
  • results of an approved language test"

There is no mention of pregnancy so I am not really sure if it is requirement to inform the CIC about pregnancy. Anybody with insight in this scenario? Thanks heaps

Congratulations. Pregnancy is followed by a birth, and birth is indicated in the above, and I think you have your answer right there. Notify them on Aug 19.

this is what i think you can do. If your application is approved before that date you can go to canada and have the baby there. He/she will be canadian citizen then. Or wait after the birth to add him/her to you application.
