Can I hold 2 visas for different employers?

i can’t find the answer to this anywhere. Living and working on a NAFTA visa in Canada. I am changing employers but my old employer needs me to stay on very part time (5 hours a week) for a few months after I start my new job. My current visa is employer specific and I will be flagpoling to get a visa with new employer. Can I keep my current visa and get a new one?

Not sure if it’s relevant but we applied for PR under Experience class in Oct 2017, just waiting to hear outcome.
