August applicant here - see my signature :D

@Cdndesi .... Hi there my fellow applicant. With the current situation, it seems we have summer of 2018 on our cards :D .... but it is good to meet you. I believe we both stay connected regularly, as we both are in same boat #StoryOfAugust2017Applicant

@Sonia81 .... Hi there .... I understand the situation .... and I guess we both need to keep a close eye on your (July 2017) application. As when your application gets completed, it will be a possible indication that soon August application will start processing at NDVO.

Today we saw some April applicants getting their results. Which seems to be a good sign. Let's all hope that we will get it sooner.

Has anybody here applied for Open Work Permit for their spouses meanwhile?

again, this is a outside canada thread. we cannot apply for open work permit- that is only for inland applicants.

Oh, but I think we can? Or have I mis-understood?

lol if we could, wouldn't we all? They don't even approve most TRV applications, what makes you think they would allow us to apply for work-permits. HAHA! That is only for inland applicants

Hey guys I have question if someone rejected from cic on family class sponsorship does the person allow to enter Canada as refugee

My spouse's TRV got rejected today. Sorry but I am no expert and looking for alternatives, and that's why I even asked whether I have mis-understood. I think we are free to ask questions/clarify doubts here and that mocking about my unawareness is not what this forum is about. It might be just a joke for you but it really came at the wrong time for me.
What made me think that they would allow us to apply for work-permits is that they allow spouses of students to apply for open work permits and also, I tried the come to Canada tool and it said eligible.
