Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster.
My husband and I are utilizing the services of an immigration attorney because what an overwhelming process... I commend all of you doing this on your own! As such, our attorney created our myCIC/gcKey account and I've never asked for the log in details, so I only see the status on the online tool. (Note: I'm not worried about that, our attorney is super communicative and sends regular emails/phone calls to keep us updated on what/when things are requested/sent/received).

My question is this, any insight into how long between CSQ being submitted to CICC and a decision?
Here's our timeline so far:
Application mailed (fedex) 9/21/17
Received 9/22/17
AOR/Case Number assigned: 10/31/17
Background Check requested: 10/31/17
Medical requested: 11/7/17
Sponsorship Approval: 11/7/17
Medical completed: 11/19/17'
Medical sent via eMedical: 11/22/17
CSQ Submitted to Quebec: 12/4/17
CSQ Received: 12/22/17
CSQ Requested by CICC: 1/2/18
CSQ Submitted online: 1/2/18

I've looked through the threads, but I'm not seeing much about the average waiting period between the CSQ being requested/received and final decision. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Much luck to all of you in your immigration process!

Not sure what impact the CSQ submission has on the timeline, but if you're outland US, you're being processed in Mississauga. The date you submitted the actual app has more of a bearing on how long it will take than the CSQ submission does. Expect about a 5-7 month processing time, according to current timelines. :)

Thank you! I just know that the CSQ was the last piece needed to complete our file. So according to our attorney we are just waiting for the final review and processing. She also mentioned a 6-9 month average processing time, but that our case seemed to be progressing more quickly than average (based on timing of information requests). She is, as I would expect, hesitant to alter her 6-9 month estimate, but I'm antsy and want to start planning my move!

Well, she may be hesitant because US application processing has been a mess over the past year, due to them completely changing how it's done. Around May or June, they stopped transferring US applications to Ottawa, and started processing them completely in Mississauga. That meant applications ALREADY at Ottawa were shipped back to Mississauga and many got stuck or overlooked during that ordeal, with quite a few Jan/Feb/March 2017 people still not processed to completion yet as of right now. At the same time, for apps submitted from June onward, the US applications processed completely in Mississauga have been moving very quickly and the processing time seems to be speeding up even more over the past month. I submitted on Aug 2 and got my PPR on Dec 29. So it would be hard for someone like your lawyer to declare a concrete processing time with so much variance due to the past crazy year of changes. But given you applied in September, I would definitely anticipate 5-7 months.
