Thank you so much for sharing this! My husband just got a message to check his gckey (where you link the application), and now it shows medical results as passed although they requested that we complete a new one this morning. And it shows that the BGC has started! I’m just jubilant right now! We are on hold with CIC to check if we need to complete a new medical because although we received the email this morning, the gckey says it’s passed.

My medical had expired. When it did, the status flipped from "passed" to "you do not need a medical". They ultimately gave me an extension, it flipped back to "passed" the evening of Dec 28th and when I woke up on the 29th I had DM and PPR

On a totally unrelated note, does anybody have an idea about the recent timelines for receiving COPR back from Ottawa when mailed from within Canada? I've seen a lot of posts from US applicants who actually mailed from the US, but not sure if anybody has mailed to Ottawa from Canada recently?

Ours started around December 22 and we haven't heard anything else, just the GCKey change, I don't think we will hear anything for a while

Eligibility line will stay the same the whole time. Background check line is what will eventually change (to say the background check is in progress).
