SO MY ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT WAS FINALIZED ON 20TH MAY. I HOPE THEY'LL TAKE A POSITIVE DECISION IN COUPLE OF DAY ;)
IMO, reminiscing about the past communication from IRCC could confuse the analysis of the present situation. I suggest you should post only the recent emails/replies received from the Sydney and Abu Dhabi visa offices so that it gives a clearer picture

oh ok sorry bryanna my bad

I can imagine the stress that you and your wife are going through. Fortunately, processing has started.... and light is shining at the end of the tunnel.

I truly wish and hope you get the passport request ASAP

Oh that sounds really good than :):):):)

""Thank you for contacting the Information Centre for Members of Parliament and Senators.

I think the security verification take the most time as they are checking to see if you are a threat to national security ( i,e a terrorist, organized crime). Also assuming that criminal checks are then a separate category of criminal checks since the way they listed it.

Does anyone know when it is appropriate to contact an MP. My application has been in process for 51 days ( not from Pakistan) but from India.

It is unusual for background checks to be conducted on India visa applicants.... unless they have worked/are working in the defense services, police, judiciary, etc..... or have lived/have traveled to a high-risk country.... or are academia/research personnel whose research is in areas like biotechnology (for example). Not sure if any of this applies to your situation.

The MP cannot influence/expedite a visa decision. S/he can only inquire from an administrative perspective

No, I do not fall under any of those categories. My representative said its normal and she has seen it before. I have only traveled to the Maldives. In my passport photo I have a big beard maybe I look like a security threat to them LOL but the first time I was refused within 17 days no checks were done.

Thank you so much bryanna for such kind words, I really hope and wish too. :):)
but i just want know roughly how long would it take from 'in review' to PPR.
Thanks
