Hi,

I have duly filed tax for 2016, 2015 and 2014 which is a requirement.

But my permanent SIN number for the latest two years (2016 and 2015) and the SIN number for 2014 (during my temporary resident time) are two different.

So I am just wondering how they will know if I only mention the permanent number? I see that in the citizenship application, I can only include the most recent SIN. So just wondering how they can know my previous number as it covers one year within the eligible time.

Temporary and permanent SINs are linked. When they will retrieve your tax records using your permanent SIN, it will pull your entire history.

Hi,
You only need to put your permanent SIN number. It's connected with the old one you have before.
