Hello there,
I am in Nepal and my husband applied for my vistor visa from within Canada. As per the lawyer, our file should have been processed within 16 days. But it's more than 45 days and no any say from her. Is the visitor visa applied from canada processed within VAC in canada or the file is processed in delhi. I just wanted to know about the time frame so that I would be more focused in my work. Thank you!!!

The processing times given by IRCC are estimates only. Current processing times for Nepal are shown as 28 days. This is not a guaranteed date. Depending on the application, it can take several months to process a visa. Not to intentionally add to your stress, but as your husband is in Canada, TRV’s for spouses can be difficult to obtain.

It’s the same. IRCC always has a concern that spouses will overstay. It’s not impossible to overcome, but it does require significant proof of ties to your home country that require you to return (eg. leaving your children at home while you visit). The logic is that there is nothing really preventing you from staying in Canada once you are here.
