hello experts, I am planning to apply for FSW program, I have a masters degree from U.K. Assessed by Wes. My question is can I apply on the basis of my masters degree only. I don't have my bachelors documents with me. On my EE profile can I just mention my masters degrees and say nothing about my bachelors because I am claiming points for my hiighest education. Please help

Hi,

This is perfectly fine. You only get points for your highest qualification, so the masters ECA will give you the points you need.
Post ITA, if you did the Bachelors withing the last 10 years, you must mention it in the personal history section. No evidence is required in this section.

Thanks for your prompt response. I completely my bachelors in 2005 April.
Oh ok, so there is no point in even mentioning the bachelors in your personal history post-ITA. Just work with your masters.

All the best

Hi
Kindly help.. I have done B.A, B.ED and M.A. My masters degree is from different university and other two degrees are from same university so I was planning to go and request both universities for transcripts for WES but after reading the above messages im confused.
Pls confirm that do I also need only eca of master's trancripts from wes to claim my points for highest degree?
What about ee ? Will they ask for B.Ed as my profession is teaching?

Hi,

Don't get confused. The EE system only give you points for your highest qualification, therefore, if you were to only get your Masters degree assessed it would be sufficient. However, it is best practice to get all your credentials assessed as it cost the same as getting one assessed through WES and some Canadian employers may want all degrees assessed.

So in summary, if you can get all credentials assessed go for it. If not, your highest qualification will work for the purposes of Express Entry.

2- There is no requirement for work experience and education to be aligned. So one does not need B.Ed to apply using a teaching NOC.

I hope that make it clear.

Regards

adding to the above it's better to get them all done in case your master's ends up being evaluated as a bachelor or not recognized at all

It is clearly written on their website that they won't evaluate masters unless bachelors documents are provided. So I don't think you can claim points for masters unless you share your bachelors degree

Did you check the list of approved universities? And your course also should be recognized. I am not sure what else could be the reason
