Visit visa for parents- Pregnant

Me and my husband are permanent residents of Canada. We recently moved here. I am a housewife and my husband is pursuing full time MBA.
We want to invite my parents from India for 3-4 months to visit us. They are retired but have enough property and bank balance back home. Also both of us here also have good amount of money in our savings account to show as invitees (both of us were working before coming to Canada).
I have some questions:
1) I am pregnant and our main purpose to call them is for supporting me emotionally during my first delivery. Should we mention my pregnancy in the invitation letter as the purpose or should we hide it? I read mixed responses on the forums and am confused.
2) Should we just invite them for visiting Canada as tourists or should we mention that we want them here for a couple of months for support?
3) Will submitting an affidavit that they will return to India help? Should both of us submit the affidavit or just my parents?
4) I want to know what are the chances of them getting a visit visa? Father is retired but still active professionally. Also all their siblings and parents live in india.

Please advise. We need to apply urgently. I am already 7months pregnant and really tensed thinking about it.

Have they traveled previously to Canada and/or other countries requiring visas? If not, I would recommend a trip of 2-3 weeks only.

Affidavit won't help. They need to demonstrate ties to their home country like property and assets.

Yes, they have travelled previously to other countries including USA but don't have the stamps in their renewed passports.
Do you think mentioning my pregnancy will be better or worse for their case?

Hi! We did mention the pregnancy but not as the main reason. We said that they want to come here to see their grandchild and visit few places in Canada (mentioned a couple of special events happening around that time). Also one of our friends was getting married, we attached his wedding invitation too. They finally got multiple entry visa. We applied for only 1 month but once they got the visa, they stayed for 3 months.

Nope they didn't overstay. They got multiple entry visa which is valid for 6months for each visit until it expires.Their application asked for 1month, but they got approved for multiple entry visa. Which meant they could stay up to 6months, though they returned after 3.
