I would like to add “...and do enough online quizzes to get a feeling for the questions”
If you only read the book you might consider certain things more worthwhile remembering than others, but the test might ask you very specific questions that you might consider not so important.
Example: when I read the book I thought it to be wise to memorize a historical timeline. One of my test questions though was what was the RCMP called before it was called RCMP...certainly not something I considered vital.
Well, everyone having lived in Canada long enough knows they were called the Royal Northwest Mounted Police ;)

Hello all,

Speaking of citizenship tests, I've got on my test invitation letter the following on the last page (Important notice):
"It is also your responsibility to bring with you photocopies of your passports and
all travel documents in your possession (current and expired), etc. as indicated on
your notice to appear. Otherwise, your interview could be postponed to a later date,
which could cause processing delays to your application."

The passports photocopies don't appear in the checklist included in the same notice. They only speak about original documents there.
Should this be a copy of the whole passeports, or only the biographical page ? And for those who already passed the test, have you been asked about those copies ?

Thank you ! :)

I made another copy of the biographical pages but they did not want them in the interview. I asked the lady and she said some people’s copies that were sent with the application were not good enough so they ask for another set.

A quick question regarding documents to bring on the day of the test. Is the list applicable only to the adults applying or for the minors as well?
I applied with my minor child, but didn't receive a letter for him nor a document list. I do understand that he doesn't have to go through the test but what about the documents?
Kindly advise
Thank you

Does anyone could confirm if any of information with dates posted below present in actual test?
Thanks
The first representative assembly was elected in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1758. Prince Edward Island followed in 1773, New Brunswick in 1785. The Constitutional Act of 1791 divided the Province of Quebec into Upper Canada (later Ontario), which was mainly Loyalist, Protestant and English-speaking, and Lower Canada (later Quebec), heavily Catholic and French-speaking.

Well, the book was printed years ago.
And I'm pretty sure you will NOT have a question where they expect the new answers and confuse people.

How many electoral ridings are there in Canada? Around 50 / Around 100 / Around 200 / More than 300 as possible answers, yeah maybe, but 176 / 277 / 308 / 338, not gonna happen. :)

I had a minor on the application too. No need to take the minor but carry his/her documents you may have submitted with the application as after the test they let you know the result and check your file and a quick interview takes place. They normally don't ask for documents for minor but just in case...
