Hi Seniors,

Does it amount to MISREPRESENTATION if one does not mention ALL the qualifications in PR Application form. Following are my details :

1. Bachelors in Arts (WES accredited and mentioned in PR Application form)

2. Masters in Business Admin. (WES accredited and mentioned in PR Application form)

3. Associate Diploma from Insurance Institute of India (not got WES accredited and not mentioned in PR Application form)

By God’s grace, I could still manage to get the desired no. points (with Bachelors+ Masters ) and got a PR stamping.

But now I want to utilize qualification no.3 to get some exemptions from Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC) for a course called Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP).I realized it later, else I would have declared it at the time of PR Application.

Would it amount to MISREPRESENTATION.
Is there any need to declared it now?

I am a bit worried. Pls advise.

Hi Maged_mmh,

Thanks for you response.

So if the above does not amount to misrepresentation then does it mean that can I freely declare and make use of the my Associate Diploma from Insurance Institute of India?

And do I need to get any accreditation now ?

IRCC is not responsible nor track your job applications

I don’t know about accreditation in your domain

Hi Maged_mmh,

I re-read your response carefully again...this is just to re-iterate that the above query is for not for a job.

Its regarding a qualification which is undeclared in the (PR application) And now I want to declared....Is that ok to do ?

Its perfectly fine and valid. There are a host of qualifications many just don't choose to show to IRCC as there would be on accumulation of points. At the end of the day, its your career and job- please own it and do what you feel to be resilient.

Doesn’t matter at all now after you submitted your application already, why do you want to declare it? Any benefits?

I mean whatever you would submit to your accreditation body is not linked to whatever in your pr application, those organisations do not cross check with each other

Yes, I can get benefit out of Associate Diploma from Insurance Institute of India, when I apply for some courses in Insurance sector in Canada.

So only just wanted to confirm if I can safely do it now ? i.e after that I got the PR.
