Points for dependent children and work experience?

Hello everyone.

Someone mentioned to me that I would get extra points for dependent children, as well as job experience.

On the CRS calculator, there's no option for children, plus, the maximum years of experience are 3 and more.

My questions are as per the following:

1- How many points shall I get for children?
2- Are there any extra points for experience over 3 years?

Thank you.

1. 0. There is no points for children.
2. 0. You get maximum CRS points with 3 years. However, work experience beyond 3 years gives more points towards the six selection factors in FSW.
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I may sound dumb, but what's the difference between the 6 selection factors and the CRS? I believe every draw, the points were counted towards the CRS. I apologize for my ignorance.

For FSW six selection factors, you need to accumulate at least 67 points to be eligible for Express Entry and enter the pool. After you meet this eligibility criteria, your CRS score is calculated to rank in the pool. So, these are two different scales, one is for eligibility and the other is for your ranking. Check the link below to calculate your FSW eligibility points. Good luck!
