The answer is so, as you did not file an application and you were mentioned as non-accompanying. However, in your LoE mention that your spouse applied under EE and had you as non accompanying.

Thanks @legalfalcon. So if i say no but i already have a uci number would it conflict or portray that i am witholding info.?

There are 2 questions: have u applied to ircc before? And have u applied to express entry before? In the EE Form if i select yes to the first question then it asks me for UCI number. Sorry for going over this again.

Any person who is entered into the system will be allocated a UCI number even if you did not apply. So if you are non-accompanying, you never applied. Also, you are clarifying it in the LoE.

You should request GCMS notes to see if your medicals and eligibility is passed. Based on that you can access at what stage your application is. All application go through the following:

R10
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibiity
Security

You can read more on each stage - https://www.getgcms.com/blog/express-entry-application-processed/

Hi,
For proof of funds I have provided bank letter stating average funds for six months & fd receipts.
As of now, I haven't received ppr and my file is still not Finalised.

I want to know that is it possible to close this bank account and move funds to another bank while my file is still pending. In case I do that, do I need to update cic again with proof of funds.

Please advise.

@legalfalcon I hope you received my email, I haven't received any response to the gcms notes. It will be helpful to get your viewpoint like you said you sent it but I have not received it.

Hey legalfalcon,

My question is that if you have 2 PR applications going on same time (Express Entry and Paper Application) and one of them get rejected, does it means that your other Application will also be refused?

Thanks

Hi legalfalocon,

Hope you are doing well!

I had one doubt regarding calculating my points and i was wondering if you could help me solve that.

My first question is regarding point 4 in CRS tool where it says, highest level of education: (copied the question down)

So, for this answer should i include my overall highest education or just the highest qualification which i gained outside of Canada, that is in my home country. The reason I asked this is because, immediately after this question they ask if you have studied in Canada, which will be same in my case as only have 2 year diploma from Canada and no degree from outside, only high secondary education.

Question from CIC website
What is your level of education?
Enter the highest level of education for which you:
  • earned a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate or
  • had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) if you did your study outside Canada. (ECAs must be from an approved agency, in the last five years)
Note: a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate must either have been earned at an accredited Canadian university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute in Canada. Distance learning counts, but only if it made up less than half your study.

I would greatly appreciate the help if you could help me clear this. Thank you in advance...

Yes, you can close and have to another bank. However, make sure that you keep all the records of the transfer of fund to the the account. There is no need to inform IRCC.

That will depend on why it was refused.

You will enter you highest degree in the question and answer yes to the Canadian Question. Then another question will pop up which will be the degree in Canada and you will see only the highest option you selected in this new question. so just follow the questions.

If an applicant was nominated by a Province, the applicant cannot leave the Province without a compelling reason. If the applicant does, the applicant can be subject to revocation of his PR and denial of citizenship down the line.

The reasons when the applicant is justified in living the province have been listed by me and are available here:
https://www.getgcms.com/blog/understanding-provincial-nomination-pogram/

Please do not make sweeping statements, "I don't think there is any real legal ground for them to bug you about it," without looking into the legal consequences.

Thank you for the clarification.

Hi,

Regarding PPR & COPR

What are the rules pertaining to applicants that are dual nationals holding a visa and non visa exempt passport.

Is there a rule as to which passport the COPR will be issued in or for?
Sample PPR’s indicate that applicants have the choice. Which one is correct or better?

Thanks

If you hold a passport from a non-visa exempt country you will have to send your passport to IRCC for PR visa and CoPR. The CoPR will be issued to the Passport you provided in your application.
