Nice.. A big Congratulations ... I will apply for my application today. One more question though, I am using my friend's home address for my mailing address. I am not sure how long will I live in my current address hence decided to use his instead. Do you think it will be an issue?

I am not sure about this exact scenario so I will not give you any wrong advice. It would better for some seniors to answer this question. Try posting this in some of the other threads where there are many active folks.

For one of my accounts, I got the letter from bank on their letterhead in the exact format that is requested by CIC. For my other accounts I got the statements from bank itself and made them stamp just to be on the safer side. For my credit cards, I just pulled the statements online.

Can you please provide the link to where CIC specifies bank letter format? Also, I do not have a credit card. Used to have one before with Citi, but that account is now closed. After closing my citi salary account, I transferred money to current savings account bank. What proof can I show to explain this influx of money?

I plan to get a letter from my bank with details of all accounts I hold there. In addition to this, is a 6 month bank statement of the savings bank account still required?

The applicant should provide an official letter(s) from one or more financial institutions that lists all current bank and investment accounts as well as outstanding debts, such as credit card debts and loans.

• o The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months.
