DOES primary NOC NEED TO BE SAME AS CURRENT JOB

Hi All,
I have total 14 yrs of exp , starting with IT then in Teaching and currently in IT again.
During my profile creation if I say I started primary occupation in 2004 with 2171 not then does it mean every exp letter should mention something about data work ? I do not exp letters mentioning this but I was surely involved in this work and get a colleague write a letter for me.
If I enter 2171 from 2014 then it comes to 3+ yrs of exp, I have all docs for this, is this duration suffice enough to get selected for ITA ?

For eligibility purposes you only need a year of continuous work experience in your primary NOC (if FSW applicant). After having such requirement you are free to add any other NOC's to claim CRS points.
