Name change ( first name different) on graduation and masters degree

I changed my first name from X to Y after Graduation and before MBA. My MBA degree reflects Y and this is the name I carry on my passport and marriage certificate. The name change was done with due legal process and I have the documents, but the documents are in Hindi language.

My University for Graduation gave my transcripts in the name of X ( old name), and my University for MBA gave me the transcripts for Y which is my current name.

Will this create an issue if I send both my graduation and masters degree transcripts and degree copies to WES for assessment ?

Also, should I get my name change documents translated to English and notarize them before sending them to WES ?

Will WES issue the credential assessment in name X or name Y ?

Thanks

As far as I know you just need to evaluate the highest education. So in your case you can just send the MBA documents to WES.

I think you should be fine with that.

Thanks for your reply, my concern is with the following statement present on WES website -
For all applicants submitting a Master’s Degree or PGDip earned on top of a three-year Bachelor’s Degree (12+3+2), you must also provide your Bachelor’s degree documents. WES cannot complete an evaluation without these documents.

My bachelors degree mentions my old first name, will this be an issue ?

Also, later down in the process when I submit my pre ITA documents, do I need to provide certified documents for name change ?

Thanks

In that case, I think you can include the letter explaining the issue when you send the education documents for evaluation.

And moving ahead you dont need to submit any documents before the ITA? They are required after the ITA.

All the best!!

Hi,

I'm having this exact issue. Can you please let me know how did it go with you? and what worked out.

Thanks!
