Starts of February we will be in Calgary and we try to find a dog friendly accomodation to rent, about 1200-1300cad,including utilities and close to public transportation,if anyone could help me would be highly appreciated
yes I am looking almost everyday, seems quite difficult to find pet friendly place I am.with my husband so we can't share a housesteaky said:There is some listings in rentfaster.ca which is asking $1500. Perhaps you can negotiate with landlord or find a roommate who is willing to sublet one room and share the place with you (assume this is allowed by the landlord) ?
Why not? In one of the ads, there are 2 rooms - You and your husband could sleep in one of the rooms and sublet the other one to a roommate (again, assume landlord allows)?ninakap30 said:I am.with my husband so we can't share a house

What is your requirement? As with all apartments / hotel rooms in general, it varies from one to another.how dog friendly are the apartments in Calgary ?
Then rent a $1600 house and then get a sub-tenant to takeover the basement for $300. This way, you can live at the main floor of the house for $1300.In my opinion it is rather difficult to find an apartment under $1500 that would be pet-friendly, especially in decent neighborhoods Landlords are often not willing to accommodate people with pets or charge them much more than it should be just because of a dog or a cat.
My husband and I planned to get a cat but our landlord was crazy stubborn and was firm he would never tolerate a cat in the apartment
In addition, landlords don't charge more if you have a pet. You just need to pay a pet deposit and it is negotiable, which means after negotiations with landlord, you might not have pay the deposit at all. Then rent a $1600 house and then get a sub-tenant to takeover the basement for $300.
