Medical for Spouse and Child

Hi All,

I am trying to submit my eApr and it's asking for Spouse and Child Medical exam acknowledgement/documentation. I was under the impression that I can schedule for their medical exam after eApr submission.

Since I don't have an appointment scheduled, what should I do now? I have 7 days to submit my application and I am traveling so can't submit proof of appointment as well.

Appreciate any advice on this.

You were wrong. You have to submit their documents at the time of eAPR. You have to do best effort to schedule an appointment for them as soon as possible even if you have to cancel your plans. As per IRCC,

Exceptions are made only in rare circumstances that are outside of the client’s control (e.g., cancellation of the appointment by the panel physician at the last minute without time to reschedule).

In exceptional circumstances, IRCC may accept

• proof that a medical appointment is scheduled; or
• a letter of explanation of best efforts.

However, these are not a guarantee of acceptance.​

Another option if your CRS is high enough to get invited in the coming draw, you may consider declining the ITA and get yourself another 90 days. Good Luck!

Thanks a lot noscaf2014. I could get an appointment for the same day as my deadline. I'll hope for the best despite my mistake.
