Hey fellas,

It's been a while, and I took that it may be about the right juncture to conjure (read as summon) some good-old-fellas by tagging them once, before the Christmas eve. Here goes:

@andieangel : the champion lady with paramount patience, unsurpassed by anyone before.
@abhishek_89 : predictions spot on, in less than 20 minutes. You are kidding, aren't you?
@lino82 : the intellectual, always ready to lend a hand and intensify the ray of hope.
@KingKurly : his perseverance is unparalleled, and shall remain unrivaled hitherto (had the pleasure of actually meeting him in person).
@Wandering Mind : avid adapter, always ready to help, mock or console anyone under the sun, anytime.
@arunroy007 : holds the record (I am sure), for creating the most RoH threads which culminated in the lowest CRS cut-offs.
@ivancabrer : confronted the hurricane with ease, makes positive posts always.
@tjsecondtry : lady worth being revered, inspired me to study when I thought I was too old for it. Big Thanks!!
@baka : the father that I wish everyone had, you make your son proud just by being you.
@mqamar1994 : the youngest lucky chap to receive an ITA, as far as I know.
@shaun75 : talking of binge drinking; are you listening @KingKurly ?
@Ornela Forsyte : Anne with the pronounced "e"; really deserved the PPR!!
@pessacanada : brought out the news of new life (his junior), and thrilled us all.
@TanakaM : without the steps of your dance wagon, the draw never awakes.
@AlliBatista : latin America at its best, author of many RoHs.
@trumprefugee : assurance, and living proof that Canada is indeed the right choice for all. Ontario, here she comes!!
@gurpreet.ts : PPR within a month; are you serious?
@iamxty : the PNP expert; some know us differently (but a hatchet once buried is useful to none; too rusty to dig anyway).

How I wish, our wild bunch - as wild in hearts we were - could get wilder once more atop the Yukon cliff!!

Special mentions: @legalfalcon and @BillHyatt

I'm sorry, it's been a while (reiterating :)), and I may have missed many names, but the last missing ingredient; the jinx @Dsharma123, I summon you too.

A merry Christmas and the Happiest New Year!!

Xibalban!!! How is your life? I miss seeing you here, and would like to hear more about what your are doing now.

I will be commuting to Toronto starting next week. It's still a long time until I get more points, but I've started on the journey.

Thank you for all your exuberance and encouragement.

NOC Code......
0121
Actually she has been doing a mix of duties in different departments. For example, currently she is in charge of scroll locker pension, she was in deposit section for one year, also used to canvassing fixed deposits and collecting income tax.
Hi All,

Is there anyone in the banking sector? I have a friend who is working as an assistant manager in Chennai & does have the below responsibilities, so if anyone is in the same shoe, it would be great if you can recommend me which NOC goes well with her duties? Thanks :)

Assistant Managerial basic duties-

A bank assistant manager is just as responsible as the bank manager for the overall success or failure a bank faces. He is responsible in assisting the bank manager in training all the bank employees to do their job well. They help in budgeting of the banks expenses and help create a fool-proof daily routine that the employees can follow. Bank assistant managers help the bank manager in a lot of his duties and tasks.

maybe she is confused between- NOC 0122, NOC 1212 or NOC 6235.
6235 is of Financial Sales Rep and that can be used.

I have used that as part experience (1 year ) to gain my points and PR...
ask her to make it a point that the experience letter lists out the various assets / liabilities she has sold, like ,
-savings accounts, current accounts, Fixed deposits
- Mutual Funds , Portfolio Management Scheme investments, PE Investments
- Life Insurance Products, Health Insurance Products
- Retail Asset Products
- Housing Loans ( Mortgages ) , Car Loans , Credit Cards
-Corporate Over Draft Accounts
—-
I’m sure bank will not give such a letter...get a routine letter from bank and get a senior colleague to write a reference letter stating all her responsibilities and other details as required by cic and then get the letter notarized in Chennai..what I did was, as the letter was bit long, got it printed on Legal Sized paper and got notarized...my ex boss was generous to come to the notary and sign the letter...

In addition i also collected the employee ID card and visiting card of my ex boss and scanned it all onto an A4 and added it as page 2 of my reference letter.
—-
make sure the reference letter gives more stress to the chosen noc and play down the other duties a bit...

Hey guys..I know you all are waiting for next draw and discussing all your points and cases here meanwhile. I was just curious what is the trigger behind your so desperately seeking Canada PR.
I discussed with few colleagues of mine and the best reply they came up with was - You know, everybody else is going to Canada, so I am going too.
Most of my colleagues seem to be going to Canada because they know someone from their friend circle who has gone there. This doesn't sound like a concrete reason to me.

So while we are waiting for the next draw, let's discuss.
Why do YOU want to go to Canada and what do you expect your life to be if you get PR?

Why do YOU want to go to Canada and what do you expect your life to be if you get PR?

your experience is indeed very accurate and just very pathetic cause potential candidates with a genuine target and dream is sometimes not getting the chance to get their ITA's for this huge rush of somewhat confused people who don't have any specific reason to move to the country of hope, Canada.

I guess it has been a hype for many and a status symbol to have a PR of Canada without any explicit vision. This is tragic cause at the end of the day you will see them continuing their job in their own country and return back to Canada just to live here for the 3 years duration to put their hand on the Canadian Passport. Once they have the passport, they settled down to other countries like UK or USA. This is by far not goes in par with the Canadian dream but perhaps adequate enough to break the hope of many potent applicants who are waiting at 400-420 CRS range and are by far to get their PR, which they need to give them some hope to live up a better life, most importantly the PR which they want for a secure and high quality of life for their children. These people don't have super high ambition to have Canadian passport as a status symbol or a corridor to other developed countries but just to reside in Canada with their family and have a stable life. I guess Canada is searching for such kind of people who can contribute to their economy for a longer duration not anyone who will take a major proportion of their PR quotas and not turn to be as efficient as expected. Maybe, CIC should introduce something similar to motivation letter which will give the lower CRS candidates a chance to highlight their inspiration and their dream to become a part of Canadian dream and also enable CIC to know the real reason people want to move to their country, offcourse they won't prefer any confused individuals who will not contribute for the country to the expected level:D

No offense to anyone but just tried to explain what I came across and if I tell about me, I want to move to Canada cause I want to be a part of a newly grown community where I can work with pride and prove myself honestly and ethically. I want my parents to be proud of their son and also want them to visit me in Canada & live with me. Their smile is one of the most important thing which make me fight for my victory & hopefully I will reach my PR dream anyhow to achieve it :)

Very nicely addressed. Your views about parents and family are very similar to mine.

We all understand the challenges people face when they move to Canada but Individuals like us need a secure life in terms of stablility. I have seen people spending decades in GCC and their children consider themselves part of the community. One fine day a new rule comes up and they get forced to move back to their ancestor's origin where they have never lived.

Moving to Canada is not just passport for many of us, it is a secure future for themselves and their offsprings.

I'm in Gulf for the last 4 years and yet to find a local friend for me which will never happen even if I stay for another 30 years. It' s the lack of interaction in the society due to various socio economic and political reasons. We are just seen as temporary workers irrespective of how longer we stay and how much effort we put on to learn the language and local culture.I strongly believe that this will not be the case in Canada.
After all we moved from our native country in pursuit of stability, better future for us and our families and contribute to the host country in terms of economic and social development.

Oh well I can rant about this topic for hours if given the chance

I was born in the the gulf, im 32, with no sense of true identity. Hold a passport of a country where if I go back will always be considered an outsider, born in a country with the same privileges of a person who just landed on a resident visa just today morning.

Desperate to gain an identity from a country open to diversity and also gives me the privileges as one of their own. I always wished my parents thought about us when they decided to move abroad. Dont get me wrong, i honestly dont hold any grudges against them for this. they had a purpose and the fulfilled it according to their ambitions.

Whereas my ambitions are concerned, i wanna give my kids a better future and someday when they grow older they can look back and have no room for any regrets to where they are at that time.
