Hi,
People who already landed or any one who knows the answer of below question please reply.

My landing in Toronto may happen at 9:00 PM. Is Immigration office open in that hour? As I want to get my SIN number at the airport since Canada service in my destination city is really slow and bothering about SIN number as i heard my friends experience.

Thanks in advance

Immigration will be open but I don't think the Service Canada office will. They are likely to follow the same hours as their other offices. Getting a SIN is pretty much an instant thing (as long as the CBSA officer at the airport has updated the system). They no longer issue SIN cards, it will just be a printed number that you'll be given.

At Pearson, the SIN is easily available after the CBSA stamping (at the next counter). I know a friend who got SIN after landing around 8 PM at Pearson.

Immigration is open 24 hours, 365 days a year.
Getting a SIN depends on availability of Service Canada staff at the airport.
If you are landing during work hours, you are most likely to get your SIN same day.

Even otherwise, it is a pretty straight forward process. You can visit your nearby service Canada and get it done in 15 mins or so.

When you come here you'll find out yourself that SIN processing is nothing to worry about at all...processing hardly takes 5 minutes at any Service Canada location.

Does anyone know if the Service Canada office at Toronto airport will be operational during weekends?
