Hello all, iam currently working in an adminstrative job, which is not in the NOC list of jobs. However I have worked as an engineer prior to this job for 2 years and I will be making my profile based on the engineering job. My few doubts are would I have submit my current job(not in NOC list) certificates also and secondly would my admin job add u[ as work experience since it might not be in the NOC list.

Thanks.

Don't add your current job to the Work History section since you are not claiming any points for it. In this case you will not have to submit any letters/certificates for it. After you receive an ITA, you will be able to add it to the Personal History section. Good luck!

ok thanks and even if i add it in my personal history, can they still ask for proof in the future, or would they not care?

No, there is no reason for the IRCC officer to ask for proofs for a job that you are not claiming points for. Good Luck!

Did you check NOC-1241 Administrative assistants? it is skill type B.
Check the duties here- http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?CLV=4&CPV=1241&CST=01012011&CVD=122376&Function=getVD&MLV=4&TVD=122372

You will find the links for other admin designations as well. If any one of them matches your duties then you can claim points for that. Otherwise you can go ahead with the suggestions given to you by noscaf2014.
Good Luck!

ok thanks for the help
oh yes just one last thing to ask sorry, will my current admin job add up to my work experience if its not in my NOC list. Say I work in this admin job for 1 year, so iam now iam having 1 year experience, so overall that would be 3 years experience, but iam only sending my profile of my previous enginering job, so would the experience count only for 2 years or 3 years.

well my current job is of helpdesk executive, its a just time pass for now, since iam preparing for government jobs. I tried to search that job in the NOC list, but I could not find the exact title, so this is why I had the apprehensions.

My friend it is not the Title, your Duties should match your NOC. you can check NOC-1222 as well. anyway it is your choice to claim points or not.

Your work experience must be at skill type 0, A or B category. You cannot claim points for your admin job if you do not include them as a NOC job.
Here are the guidelines-
Your work experience must be:
  • in the same type of job as your primary NOC
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count)
  • at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2016 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:
    • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
You must show that you did the duties set out in the occupational description in the NOC. This includes most of the main duties listed.
If you can’t show that your work experience meets the description in the NOC, you aren’t eligible under this program.

ok thanks my friend, is there any way I can directly get in touch with the officials, and ask them whether the job Iam doing is under the NOC list, that way i can directly clear my doubts, and then decide accordingly whether to gain points for this job or not.
