Hello everybody,

I know its common thread subject, but actually i getting headache from applying in EE profile and getting ineligible. So, after getting around in this site and trying to figure out what is the problem, i decide to join you and ask you.

I have tried to calculate my points through six selection factors out of 100, please correct me if i'm wrong:

Language: I have took IELTS and my score is
L: 7.5 points: 5
R: 8 points: 6
S: 6.5 points: 5
W: 6 points: 4

Total Language points= 20

Education: Bachelor Degree in civil engineering (4years) points= 21 (already done my ECA which equal to 4 years bachelor in civil engineering)

Experience: 4-5 years in engineering field which is my current full time work (I have worked in other companies but only for couple of months. I'm working as operations and production engineer under NOC 2141 (Note: in EE profile i put my primary NOC 2141 as my current position and not put it as my degree which is NOC 2131) points= 13

Age:
Im 28 years old, points: 12

Arranged employment in Canada: points=0 (no offer)

Adaptability: Relatives in Canada (my uncle is living in Canada and he is a Canadian citizen points= 5

So total points= 71

so >67 an eligible to apply for EE.

I have applied 5 times even not same login account and every time am applying am getting a direct message that im not eligible.

i filled out all personal details and my study and language results, regarding education im choosing No for is it your current study as am already graduated since june 2012 and am putting my starting date in university and graduation date.

Also, when i enter my work experience am adding my primary NOC as industrial engineer (NOC 2141) which is related to my work experience as am operations and production engineer in a factory (NOC 2141 same as my primary NOC) my 4 years work experience am adding them and am choosing this is my current work as im still working in the company.

I already entered my IELTS certificate code and my ECA code. Regarding my wife she has bachelor degree but still no ECA but still its fine as i can update my profile later when i successfully applied my profile, regarding her IELTS still no certificate but its also fine. And lastly no work experience for her.

Could you please explain to me why im getting ineligible profile.

I would be thankful.

Thanks alot

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1 - Do you have at least a year of continuous work experience in your primary NOC?
2 - How many years of work experience do you have in your primary NOC? 4 years?
3 - How many funds are you bringing to Canada.

Be careful when answering the question regarding your studies, a lot of applicants chose the "completed, in good standing" answer whereas they should choose "degree awarded"

The six selection factors still apply to those who wish to be eligible under the Federal Skilled Worker program, that is, applicants still have to be above the required 67 points to have an eligible EE profile, there has been no change even with the implementation of Express Entry. Ignore the other post.

Regarding your eligibility I simply do not see an apparent reason for your profile to be ineligible.

Thanks alot for confirming that am eligible

i have some questions regarding my passport name, work experience and education and correct me if my information is correct regarding these points please.

1- Regarding my passport, the order is as followed (my name + father name + grandfather name + surname) my father and grandfather name are written as abbreviation in my passport only letters Like (S. Te.) so Im put my give like (my name S Te) and my surname as it is. Does abbreviation in my name affect eligibility?

2- does work experience interfering made the system giving me not eligible? for example:

Primary NOC:2141

company X, NOC: 2141, experience: April-2014 - current
company Y, NOC: 2131, experience: July-2013 - April 2014

from above experience i have moved in the same month to another company difference is only one week, does this thing affect?

3- Date first became qualified to practice in this occupation ? i put my graduation date (june-2012)

4- For education:

Has finished high school or any higher education (including university, college or vocational training)? (required)

yes

Field of study (required) Help - Field of study
Applied science

Since what year? (required)
date of entering uni sept- 2008

This is my current study (required)
no

to?
date graduation june-2012

Complete/full academic years (required) Help - Complete/full academic years
4

Full-time/part-time study (required)
full

Standing at the end of study period (required)
degree awarded

could you please check these information above if its correct or if its affecting eligibility?

Thank you

Hi harbi-k,
Even when you're truly eligible, there's a lot of little 'weird-things' with the system that could result in a profile being deemed ineligible. Please see below for some of the more common reasons normally listed on this forum - it could be as simple as an error in you entering your work experience. Hopefully something on the list will help you fix the problem:

Common Reasons for Express Entry Profile Ineligibility

This guide is only relevant to persons who expect to be eligible under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programmes, NOT the Federal Skilled Trades (FST) programme

Intended Destination/Province
  • You indicated Quebec as your intended destination/province
FSW Eligibility Points
Education
  • If you’re applying under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) programme AND your educational credential(s) are foreign (i.e. not completed in Canada)…
    • you indicated you haven’t completed an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to determine the Canadian equivalency for your foreign educational credentials
    • you indicated your Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) is older than 5 years old
Proof of Funds
  • If you’re applying under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) programme, AND don’t have VALID arranged employment in Canada (check here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/offer.asp)
    • you did not indicate enough settlement funds to qualify (a single applicant, currently, has to show they CAD$12,300 or more for settlement purposes; if you have dependents (accompanying or not), you need to show more, depending on how many dependents you have)
Work Experience
  • You indicated '8' or something similar in the section asking about your hours of work, instead of 37.5 or 40 (or a 'full-time' equivalent number), resulting in the system not calculating your years of full-time work experience correctly

  • If you’re applying under either the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programmes…
    • your primary NOC Code is not Skill Type/Level 0, A or B\

  • If you’re applying under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) programme, you do not have…
    • at least one (1) year of FULL-TIME work experience (or the part-time equivalent)
    • that was continuous (i.e. not interrupted by employment breaks other than normal vacation / sick/ personal leave, etc.)
    • that was paid
    • under your primary NOC Code (which must be Skill Type/Level 0, A or B)
    • within the last ten (10) years

  • If you’re applying under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programme, you do not have…
    • at least one (1) year of FULL-TIME work experience in Canada (or the part-time equivalent) that was obtained on a valid work permit (e.g. PGWP, open work permit, etc.) (you cannot count work completed while you were a full-time student)
    • in one or more Skill Type/Level 0, A, or B NOC Codes
    • within the last three (3) years
Language Test Results
  • Your language test results are older than 2 years old

  • If you’re applying under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) programme…
    • you didn’t attain at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) equivalency level 7 across EACH of the 4 language abilities on your language test (Note: CLB equivalency levels is not the same thing as the raw IELTS Score - see conversion of IELTS Scores to CLB Equivalency levels here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp)

  • If you’re applying under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programme…
    • you didn’t attain at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) equivalency level 7 across EACH of the 4 language abilities on your language test, if your primary NOC is Skill Type/Level 0 or A
    • you didn’t attain at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) equivalency level 5 across EACH of the 4 language abilities on your language test, if your primary NOC is Skill Type/Level B
