I was to post my concern about not getting my AOR, but then I received it!
Can someone update it?

Edit: My wife got her AOR 1.5 hour later after me, both applications were sent in a same envelope.

I think CIC is doing a pretty darn good job to stay afloat. 600+ of the October applicants have their AORs and still had an average turnaround time of 35 days, despite receiving 6 months of applications in one month. And over 30+ November applicants already have their AORs, and that's despite the hundreds of people who have started needlessly panicking and bombarding MPs, CIC admin, etc with calls, and the holiday season in general. I remember back in the day doing PR and it was hit or miss if you'd even get an AOR. I think anything that isn't a returned application is a good sign at this point.

There's no specific name other than "Citizenship Official, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada" at the end

12-48 hours. In some cases longer. I *think* ECAS updates only once a day, very early in the morning.

When the status changes from AOR to IP, does CIC send an email that your status has changed (in ECAS), or do they just expect you to check ECAS once a day (or like every hour or every five minutes )?

You need to check ....mostly the update is after 15 days of AOR ..the long wait is after IP usually over 20-30 days till the test invite comes in...
