After reattempting IELTS test, my score bumped up from 428 to 456. I know I will make it tomorrow, I am not going to cry and ask like "My score is 482, what are my chances for getting ITA in the next draw?"

oh okay. well results for 6th Jan would come out around 20th jan give or take 2 weeks. so basically if one was written 16th Dec one result will be out in-between 3 draws. so cutoff could still drop. results for 16 Dec would probably affect 1st draw in Jan ( Depending on the No of ITA's)... 2nd draw would still happen (using 2 weeks interval) before the next result will be out.. ..All still assumptions tho

I confirmed the last ielts for the year was written 9th. The one written 16th was for UKVI only. So the next result is coming out word December, after that its the 6th January exams with results on the 20th. I am hoping that with this ielts break, crs between now and then the crs should drop below 435. That is if the draws hold tomorrow, 3rd and 17th January 2018

I confirmed the last ielts for the year was written 9th. The one written 16th was for UKVI only. So the next result is coming out 20th December, after that its the 6th January exams with results on the 20th. I am hoping that with this ielts break, crs between now and then should drop to below 435. That is if the draws hold tomorrow, 3rd and 17th January 2018

I am sitting at 456 too. In the last 2 years I worked on myself and went from ineligible to this score. Frankly I had been ready since June to apply with everything done except my eca which took almost 7 months to be done. So fingers crossed for tomorrow. I am confident and happy and hoping tomorrow is my day and yours too.

May I ask .. what caused it to take 7 months .. Were you using WES ? I'll be going with ECA for my wife next month.. Any suggestions ?

IELTS is not the only language test.
You can also use CELPIP and for French TEF Canada (also here the competition is still much much smaller).

There was one in Canada on 16 December, their results might end up in January as there is vacation

May I ask .. what caused it to take 7 months .. Were you using WES ? I'll be going with ECA for my wife next month.. Any suggestions ?

No actually I had to get it done from MCC(Medical council of Canada) and the usual time line for them is 3-4 months. Mine got delayed more because the first batch of documents they sent for verification to my university were lost. They don't give the option to let them deliver documents by mail for the first 2 months and by the time I did get ready for courier the documents had reached my university lol. I have heard that WES is way faster. My friend got her done in 24 days. All the best to you.
