What is the GC notes for? I have been seeing this quiet a bit on the thread. I havent done it and was wondering if that is something I am missing... Please help!

Relax .... GC notes is not the part of any CIC application. You are not needed to apply for any GC notes .... and your application also is not affected by it.

GC notes is a means to get information about the individual case processing in detail. This allows the primary applicant (under Privacy act - free) or the assigned representative (under Access to Information act - 5$ charge) to get the details of the case.

If you wish to apply visit https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

why india taking so long ? :( anyone send them any litter for any request and they reply in 30 days. please let me know

Check this link;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=464&top=1

It clearly explains the processing time.

In the case of formal requests made pursuant to the Privacy Act, we have 30 days to respond. However, this period may be extended for a maximum of 30 days if:
-> meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the government institution, or
-> consultations are necessary to comply with the request that cannot be completed within the original time limit.

The period may also be extended for a reasonable period of time if:
-> additional time is necessary for translation purposes, or
-> for the purposes of converting the personal information into an alternative format.

We will tell you about the extension and its length, within 30 days after the request is received. It will also let you know that you have the right to complain to the Privacy Commissioner about the extension.
Note: If you do not receive a response within 30 days, you may obtain the status of your request by contacting the ATIP Division via:
e-mail: ATIP-AIPRP@cic.gc.ca;

You would need to drop another email to the said address and also need to quote your request tracking number. However following their wordings, they have kept it vague enough for them to extend the response time by 30 more days, or in some cases indefinitely.
I already did all that; my notes are late; it clearly states that if they need a extension they would inform me via email; that didn’t happen.

I’m not sure what point your trying to make? Me and ForeverMB were discussing the delay of
Our gcms notes in which more than 30 days have passed and we emailed ATIP to inquire about our gcms note status. And I just got a Automatic reply to my inquiry; not a actual response yet; usually ATIP responds within 5 days but that isn’t the case this time. Thanks for your help but this is my fourth time ordering notes; I know the process.

I got the gcm notes today. April 4 applicant, bgc not started yet. As per the notes, eligibility: passed. security, criminality: not started.
Last update on my file was on october last week, says marriage approved, file transferred for final review. This application is part of PAT 3 group. Special instructions apply to this application.

What does this mean?

Also, Notes also says: Recommended for waiver File No: F000XXXXXX FOSS checked for PA. F000XXXXXX is not our file number.

What does this mean?
hey did you figure it out what is the meaning of "This application is part of PAT 3 group. Special instructions apply to this application."???

Does anyone know?

hey did your background status on GC key say NA or we are processing your application PRIOR to the interview?
My GC Key said 'bcg in process' prior to my interview and it still says 'bcg in process' after i got PPR even! Lol

you have any idea why so late respond

He
you can access daily updates for your file on ECAS, which is different than GC key. A lot of people don't link their account to GC key so do not get updates from them but everyone can see their updates on ECAS
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/introduction.do?app=ecas
you can enter your application number/ your or your PA's details and see what is going on.. if you enter your details you can see both your side and your PA's. If you enter your PA's details then you can just see the PA side.. so right now what you should see is on your side it should say decision made and on the PA side it says application received/ in process. If it only says application received then the next time is for it to say in process- if it says in process you are one step ahead and the next step would be background check which can take 5-7 months starting now.
(You can actually click on the application received/ in process to see more details.)

Also, do tell your PA to check junk folder as our email from NDVO went there at first!

Let me know if you have more questions.
hello
Can you tell me what details need to entered to check Sponsors details?

Regards

Also I’m currently pregnant so I had sent a pregnancy letter with schedule a. So my question is if I already sent pcc in March should I have resent it since I think it was only valid for six months? I am hoping my husband will be here before March since I am due April 2.
