How to re-enter Canada if I don't have PR CARD?

Hello all

We (me, my husband and our daughter) got or visa and had travelled to Canada during Diwali vacation. I was studying at that time so me and my daughter had to come back without PR CARD in hand whereas my husband stayed back.
Now we want to travel back. We were expecting our pr cards to come but on 74th Dec, we received an email stating that our photographs (mine and my husband's) did not match with the specifications. :(
Although the photographs have been sent to them within 20 days as mentioned. But I don't know how much time will it take.
So I was thinking to apply PRTD for me and my daughter. Is there any chance that our prtd can get rejected as we don't have PR CARD with us now. I am asking this question because I have read somewhere that if prtd gets rejected then automatically my pr status also gets denied.
Also, how to apply for prtd?

Please helps us. Its urgent.

Best regards

What you heard isn't true. You can apply for PRTD without any issues as it sounds that you have just landed recently and you have no problems in meeting Residency Obligation. You also don't need a PR card yo apply. Good luck!

as per previous poster the advice you have been given is absolute nonsense.

True as with PR cards if you do not complete the documentation correctly an application could be rejected until you get it right but that has zero impact to your PR status.

If people have any issues getting a PRTD it is those who have failed the 2/5 residency obligation and then PR status can be under threat, not based on your post any issue for you currently.

Apply for the PRTD as will make no difference if you get them approved even if your PR cards are processed in the meantime.
