September 19, 2016 applicant too....tired of waiting for MR and ended up doing upfront last week and got passed today. I read somewhere on cic website that upfront medical speeds up the process...I don’t know if that is true though.

sep 19th applicant. No medical request yet. So I did upfront on Tuesday and Upload in Case specific enquiry. Don't know how long will take take to show passed?
Your upfront medical update is very quick. I heard that some people upfront medical updated to passed after a month only.
Good thing I heard abt the upfront medical is once they look for send medical request they might see ur upfront and will show passed and send that one for security. In that case u can save little bit time, not much though.. But everything luck.. Hopefully we get our PPR somewhere in Feb or march.
