Update: FBI just told me they've "successfully processed" my application [delivered with a Money Order on Sept 11] & would mail it out "first thing Monday morning"!

Would keep the house updated once it's received (in the Seattle area of the US). This should be before Christmas (Dec 25), I hope.

However, I'm yet to receive a response from IRCC to LoE uploaded on Nov 20 seeking extension of PCC submission.

How do I then submit the PCC once received? Any ideas?

u can raise a CSE and upload the document along with it to fasten the process.. and if after that also they give u ADR for PCC upload it in the slot for it.

Has anyone here sent an FD-258 card with only the Name and DOB fields filled out and got a successful response from the FBI? I've sent one such appln and now getting doubts that they may reject it since its not completely filled out.
I was under the impression that the Application form has all these details, so, its not necessary to repeat that info on the FD-258 card.
Any thoughts?

True. And that is the point, dear cc31. They are yet to acknowledge my request 25 days after.

I am a bit worried because so far, IRCC has almost always responded within 7 days.

In any case, I have submitted a CSE. Fingers crossed.

I already submitted a CSE & might do another by attaching a scanned copy of the PCC once I receive it hopefully before year end if no extension falls through by then.

Extension was the sole basis for writing the LoE which was uploaded on MyCIC account.

I see. I also highlighted in my LoE that I need extension which I received after 17 days of submission. If everything goes normally, you should hear from them soon. Also, I have observed difference in timelines for different streams, single and w/ family applicants, etc.

I'm under the FSW-Outland stream. I'm married with 3 dependants.

How does that help based on what you know, my dear friend?

Just trying to make some reasonable assumptions. It might take a couple of days more for a family application as there will be more documents to review.

I see. But don't forget that all I'm asking for at this point is an extension for the deadline to upload the PCC meant for only 1 out of the 4 of us. Hence, my reluctance to agree.

Even I am looking for this option. My spouse's fingerprints have been rejected once and I am waiting on the decision of the second application received by FBI on 28-Sept (I sent 4 sets of fingerprints this time). If they again get rejected the second time, this is the only option I see too but when I asked this to the FBI customer service representative, she replied that "No applicant can submit a FBI Name Check request. It is at the discretion of the country's (Canada in this case) immigration authority to request the same with FBI if they deem fit"... So again, I believe it a question if someone can ask a CIC customer service agent on phone and get some insights. Are you planning to do this?

How do I get the Name Check procedure started?

Actually I Sent 2 Separate Fingerprint Application with 2 Fingerpriints in Each for my Spouse . Both were delivered to FBI on 17 Oct .

As per the Fingerprint Agency there are high chances for rejection so i just wanted to know the process in Advance. But not able to find any absolute information.

So check this link i provided. It clearly states only federal or state agencies can request for name check after subject's (applicant's) fingerprints are rejected twice. We cannot do this ourselves, in case the fingerprints are rejected twice, we need to request CIC to do it and no clue if they may or may not do it.
