@Bryanna

I want to apply for visit visa for my wife. She has Govt. job in Pak, does that show as strong ties?
Her paystubs, letter of vacation on her payroll, tax form if applicable?

I am thinking to invite her for 45 days in Feb. Any suggestions you want to give, please? Should I show she will be here for 45 days?

Also there is a very small property in her name

Thankyou.

Hi,

First, on a practical note, her chances of getting a TRV approval are low because you're a Canadian/PR + she has a spousal PR application in process. It could seem like she doesn't want to remain in Pakistan while her PR is being processed.

To increase her chances (no guarantees, however):
1. Shorten her visit to 2-3 weeks max. preferably around national/federal holidays to explain why she is able to visit for few more extra days. A visit of 45 days indicates weak employment ties.

2. Employment: Her employment letter + leave approval letter + 3-4 months pay stubs + 6 months bank statements (to prove salary transfers) + Income Tax returns + 1-2 work commitment reasons to return to Pakistan by a specific date (with proofs)

3. A detailed day-by-day itinerary like a typical tourist + to meet you. Do ensure you do NOT use words like 'missing you', 'wanting to spend time together', 'did not spend much time together after the wedding', etc in your invitation letter or any other document

4. Her financial investments (bank term deposits, shares/stocks, pension funds, etc).

5. If she get any benefits because of her government employment then mention those especially if she will lose some benefit by being away for prolonged time.

6. Does she own property or land? Has she traveled to visa-required countries? Does she have any dependent family members? Any family event to return to by a specific date?

Cheers

Hi , thank you for such a detailed explanation, it made things very clear what to get and what not too.

She can get most of these things easily it seems to me.

- My question:Its been 6 months since I met my wife, so I was thinking to include this. But its fine we can plan some vacation here I mean make a list of things to do in 3 weeks time, different cities.

She does own a small land, but she never ever traveled outside Pak. She has no dependents back home, but yes maybe there is a wedding coming in Jan 2018 last week.

Should I apply online or through paper application ????

Any tips what to pick?

I would not mention this. It is understood but better not to state it openly.

She does own a small land,
Include the valuation + land ownership documents (translated into English by a certified translator) + if she earns any income from it (for example, agricultural income..... or is it a commercial plot which she intends to construct something then those documents)

but yes maybe there is a wedding coming in Jan 2018 last week.
Preferably a close relative or a close family friend. Do include the invitation, etc

Online. Not paper application because VFS Pakistan has been refusing to accept many critical documents which prove an applicant's strong ties/financial situation

Just a quick question I emailed Sydney office on 3rd dec and no reply yet. I use to get a reply with in 24hrs and this time 10 days already no reply do you think I’m getting PPR soon that’s why they’re not replying ? Or I’m just thinking too much lol. Coz my wife is getting worried. She’s due in March/April.

I’ve even sent CSE but no reply... first time they’re taking this long to reply ?

Yes, perfectly normal. Hopefully, a TRV decision is on the way soon

Perfect. Now this is how one should explain things :) .. it is very helpful. Awesome.

My wife gave medical last month. She does not have any official proof except for the receipt of payment I think. Also she is visiting less than 6 months still she needs a medical? I don't wanna get her medical done again.

I am filling app online, stuck on these question:
I can't book her flight as yet, so I cant have a booking. I am planning to just write the itinerary of the places we are planning to visit.

Also, type of visa : Visit or Family Visit or Tourism ? for my wife.

What you think?

Calm.... chill.... relax :)

Maybe they are taking longer for any reason.... right from a higher volume of applications..... to reduced visa staff..... to too many web form inquiries and emails.... to year-end holidays..... anything.

One bit of advice (although it's not my place to say it):
If it seems like you are stressed out and panicking then it would get to your wife too. And, in her condition she does not need this. She (and your baby) need to be relaxed. Give them the reassurance that the delay is *nothing* (if you get what I mean)

Medicals are not required for TRVs. If required, the visa office would let you know.

Also, medicals are valid for 12 months. So the medicals she has done for her PR app are valid for her TRV app too.

Don't book any confirmed tickets until she gets her TRV.

The detailed day-by-day itinerary would work fine.

I must say VFS Pakistan needs to inform their customers about Background checks at the time of submission just to make minds.
